If you’ve driven past the construction site for the King City Public Library and Seniors Centre recently you probably noticed some big changes.

We now have the Formwork erected along the east side of the library, so we will have walls soon!

We love to see how much the property for the library has changed and progressed!

For those of you that are missing the old library – come visit us! We have taken a portion of our collection to the lower level of the King City Seniors Centre, best accessed through the arena parking lot on Doctors Lane.

Week of October 3

We are making headway with the new Library/Senior Centre that is being built!



We, at the King Township Public Library, want to remind you that programming is still taking place at the temporary location. In the lower level of the King City Seniors Centre on Fishers Street, best accessed via the arena parking lot on Doctors Lane.

We currently offer programs for babies 0-2 years at 10:30-11 A.M. Tuesday mornings and a program for toddlers 18 months to 3 years from 11:15-11:45 A.M. If you would like more information regarding these programs please contact your local branch.

Our hours of operation at the temporary location have not changed. We are still open Monday-Friday 10 A.M. – 8 P.M., Saturday 10 A.M. – 5 P.M. and Sunday 1-4 P.M.

We look forward to seeing you there!

It’s Official!

On the evening of Tuesday, September 18th  the King City Public Library and Senior’s Centre had the official ground breaking ceremony.

This ceremony marks the beginning of the construction phase of the project. We had a great turnout of Library staff, Library board members and local Councillors.
